Questions and Answers
What will you say about the work you’ve done at the end of your career?
You haven’t seen anything yet!
Where do you go for inspiration?
I am inspired every day. Every person and company has a problem that begs for a solution, or in need of a better way to accomplish a goal. You just need to keep your eyes and ears open, be creative with the resources available to you, and prioritize.
How do you build resilience into your work & company?
You only learn to be resilient with experience. One needs to be faced with challenges and adversity, with progress and setbacks, and both failure and success… with the fortitude to do it over and over again. You just hope to be a little smarter each time you approach a new endeavor. How you manage the chaos and the companies expectations are critical to the success of introducing resiliency into the DNA of any company.
What keeps you up at night?
Thoughts of my children.
What gets you up in the morning?
The anticipation of waking up to my wife, and being inspired to create something new each day.
How is your work cross-cultural?
Innovation and problem solving run across all cultural boundaries. It is more a questions of understanding the personal interaction and management norms within each cultural environment.
From my work within multinational media companies to small domestic technology start-ups, I have conceptualized and executed on innovative change (products, services, and business development) within multiple industries. I have invented new products in support of those initiatives, and built the infrastructure and development teams (actual and virtual) to bring products to market (R&D), and supported these endeavors with detailed financial plans and governmental subsidies where applicable.
