Questions and Answers

What will you say about the work you've done at the end of your career?

I had fun doing it. I learned a lot. I taught a lot. It made me think. It made others think. It made my life better. It made other lives better. I loved it. They loved it.

Where do you go for inspiration?

The most unexpected places. I try to get away as far as possible from where I would normally go. It's usually where the best ideas hide.

How do you build resilience into your work & company?

As long me and everyone involved is having fun, the work is good and communicates the right idea, everything that comes from it is a consequence. So I guess the answer is I don't really think about it.

What keeps you up at night?

Anything that gets on the way of realizing a good idea, and how to get around whatever it is.

What gets you up in the morning?

Loving what I do. Looking forward to finish what I started the day before. Being excited about work. When I was a kid, I remember dreading waking up to go to Chemistry class. I hated it so much. So I made a promise to myself that I would do something I loved once I grew up, so I would never have to go through that feeling again. Thankfully I do love what I do. And on bad days, a good run does it. And coffee.

How is your work cross-cultural?

I think it's a result of trying to experience new things everyday. If you embrace the idea of always trying something new, and really surround yourself with interesting people and things, it naturally translates into how you think and what you create.
